Terms of Use
1. Use of the site
PlainAirQuality is a free, ad-supported data portal. You may use this site for personal, educational, journalistic, research, and commercial reference purposes. We ask that you do not scrape the site at industrial scale (use the underlying EEA / Copernicus / national-agency open data instead), and that you do not present PlainAirQuality content as your own publication.
2. No warranty
This site is provided "as is." We make no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or current validity of any data presented. Air-quality data is derived from public European agency datasets. While we follow each source's authoritative published values, transient errors, source-publication delays, or interpretation differences may occur. Do not rely on this site for emergency public-health decisions, medical advice, or real-time air-quality alerts — consult your national air-quality agency or the European Air Quality Index.
3. Underlying data licensing
The underlying data on this site comes from:
- European Environment Agency (EEA) — published under CC-BY 4.0 per the EEA legal notice.
- Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) — published under the Copernicus Open Data Licence (free use with attribution).
- National agencies — each under its own open-data licence (typically CC-BY 4.0, Open Government Licence v3.0 for the UK, or equivalent national equivalent).
Re-users of data sourced via this site should cite the original publisher, not PlainAirQuality.
4. Editorial content
Editorial commentary, guides, methodology summaries, and FAQ answers written by the PlainAirQuality editorial team are copyright Kiznis Studio and are released under CC-BY 4.0 — you may reuse them with attribution to PlainAirQuality.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither Kiznis Studio nor PlainAirQuality is liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of this site or reliance on any content displayed here.
6. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Vilnius.
7. Changes
We may update these terms; updates will appear here with a new "Last updated" date.
